Injured in September 2023 (age 17) while playing for Humansdorp Secondary at a tournament in Knysna.
Anzil is from Humansdorp and went to school at Humansdorp Secondary School. He sustained a C5/C6 injury to his spine and is currently doing secondary rehabilitation. He is motivated to get stronger and lives with his granny and aunt. He started to complete his schooling and would like to finish in 2026. He currently started his own business by selling perfume and is going very well.
