Injured: 20 May 1990 at age 18. Amos lives in Soto Village near HagaHaga East London in the Eastern Cape with his wife and 3 children. Amos started his own business in 2014 called the Great Kei Disability Centre where he has established a community centre for people living with disabilities. He received a Lottery grant in May 2024 after persistent applications and was able to purchase solar panels, camera’s, sewing machines and laptops for his place of work providing and creating job opportunities for his staff.
For his impact in his local community he has been nominated for multiple community awards, was awarded as a ‘Local Hero’ by the Daily Dispatch and travelled to Japan & Thailand for training with JICA (Japanese International Collaboration Agency) in 2019.
