Injured August 2014
My name is Dyllan Beneckhe and I am a quadriplegic, I got injured playing for Tuks youth rugby club on the 30th of August 2014 where my neck collided with the opposing players knee in a tackle. I only had feeling in my shoulders and could only move my right arm and both shoulders. 1 year later and I am now able to move my left arm as well and I am also able to feel both my arms and my chest. I go to Pretoria Boys High and my goal is to get stronger and gain more movement every day.
I don’t accept what has happened because I believe my purpose in life is not to sit in a wheelchair but to rise from it.
