Simanga Mandita was injured: 2 February 2023 while playing for Young Brothers, Debe Nek, Perksdale Mission, Middledrift in the Eastern Cape.
While playing flank he sustained an irreparable C5/C6 spinal cord injury as we only received notification of his injury in May which was very unfortunate as rehabilitation could have started a lot earlier. Simanga has flourished though his rehabilitation which took place at Aurora in Gqeberha and is now in assisted living at the Summerstrand Cheshire Homes.
