On 9 September 2022, Devon sustained a C7 complete spinal cord injury, a life-changing moment that has not defined the person he has become. Devon has set his sights on an exciting new chapter. He is currently writing and preparing to publish a book based on his own journey. He is also exploring motivational speaking courses, with the goal of using his story to inspire and encourage others facing adversity. Devon is already making a meaningful impact in his community as the manager of the Kruisfontein United Under-21 rugby club. What stands out most about Devon is his infectious positivity. He is constantly smiling, full of life, and radiates a joy that draws people to him.
